My passion for capturing moments began on long family road trips while growing up. I was always the one hogging the family camera from my brothers and parents, making sure to document the wild bison in Yellowstone, my mom hiking beneath a hoodoo in Bryce National Park and everything else we stopped to see. It quickly became more than a hobby.

After graduating from Western Washington University with a degree in visual journalism, I worked at The Seattle Times, The Grand Rapids Press/MLive and The Bellingham Herald. I’ve also worked for Solutions Journalism Network And The Hechinger Report. I currently work for Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Wash., and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, in Eatonville, Wash. (Yay for cute animal photos!)

I love spending time exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with my husband, TJ, son, Cassius, and daughter, Josephine, or catching a sporting event of any kind.

I hope you will trust me to document your life’s important moments.
